Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Exchange Students
Eligibility
Officially accepted exchange student participants
- Selection Procedure
NIIED informs the number of students SNU can nominate
SNU selects candidates who will be offered a chance to apply
Selected candidates submit required documents for screening
SNU screens documents through internal evaluation, selects final nominees
SNU sends final nominee list to NIIED
NIIED evaluates and informs SNU with final recipient list
Details of the Award
- Application Period : December for Spring semester, June for Fall semester
- Number of Recipients : To be announced
- Duration : 4 months or 10 months (depending on student’s exchange period)
- Scholarship Amount

| Living Expenses | Every end of the month during the exchange period | 500,000 KRW / per month |
| Medical Insurance | Awarded semesters | 20,000 KRW / per month |
| Settlement Allowance | Upon arrival | 200,000 KRW / once upon arrival |
| Airfare | Upon arrival | Round trip airfare(Maximum payable amount will be announced to the appointed student) |
Scholarship packages may be subject to change depending on the circumstance of the supporting organization (National Institute for International Education)
