Office of International Affairs (OIA),
as SNU's headquarter for developing and promoting its international programs and initiatives,
welcomes all students and scholars to SNU's vibrant intellectual community.

Before you depart your home country, we strongly advise you to check the following, to make sure your settlement in SNU Student Exchange Program be successful.

  1. Check your student ID number Upon your acceptance, we will send your student number at SNU to your e-mail.
  2. Sign up on mySNU Portal   MySNU is your electronic key to gaining access to the university online services
  3. Take your acceptance packet and Certificate of Admission (CoA) OIA will post or e-mail the required documents for your visa application to you, upon your acceptance
  4. Apply for student visa (D-2)   The list of required documents must be advised by your local Korean embassy. Please note that the visa is for a single entry and you cannot make any overseas travel until you complete alien registration after you enter Korea.
  5. Purchase a traveler’s insurance plan
  6. Apply for on-campus dormitory
  7. Register for courses
  8. Pay tuition fee (Print out an invoice and receipt) Degree-seeking students and visiting students only
  9. Take Korean Proficiency Test Degree-seeking students only
  10. Join the orientation Detailed information on the orientation schedule will be guided through e-mail.

Optional

  1. Enroll in Korean Language Program   
  2. Join SNU Buddy Program Exchange students only
