As of March 9,
The COVID-19 shows no sign of abating yet, and SNU has banned all face-to-face lectures held in classrooms for March. In accordance, LEI won’t hold classes at LEI classrooms during March but provide online classes. The starting date is 16th of March, as scheduled. Below are the details regarding online classes.
- Starting Date: 16th March, 2020 (Monday)
- Method of Teaching: Online Video Class
- Software: ZOOM, Available on Laptops and Mobiles (https://zoom.us/)
* Please note that for Regular Program Advanced Academic Class, lectures are held 5 days a week.
Decisions for classes from April onwards are still pending, and we will inform you of any details soon.

1. Postponed Start of Spring Session
Under the Ministry of Education and SNU’s guideline, the start of regular program has been postponed for 2 weeks. The starting date of the regular program will be 16th of March (Mon). Details are as following:
1) Commencement: 16th March, 2020 (Monday)
2) Session Dates: 16th March, 2020 (Monday) - 8th May, 2020 (Friday), 8 weeks
3) Make-up Class: Make-up classes will be scheduled within the semester, in the morning or afternoon. (Detailed announcement will be made soon.)
2. Self-quarantine Requirement for Travelers from China, Hong Kong, and Macau
Students who travel from and through China, Hong Kong, and Macau should self-quarantine themselves for at least 2 weeks after entering Korea. SNU LEI will check the entry information and see if the student has completed 2 weeks of self-quarantine before joining the class. For the time being of self-quarantine, tuition fee will be refunded and class absences will be excused.
3. Precautionary Responses
All students are being informed of how to respond to any suspected symptoms, including the contact information and everyday preventive measures. Hand sanitizers are placed in every classroom and if students do not have a mask, LEI provides a free mask.
Students who develop any suspected symptoms must stay home and during this time, absences will be excused.
